Subversion is designed (by teams like ours) to be both a replacement and an enhancement to CVS (for teams like ours). If you know CVS, you already know 90% of SVN. Most of the remaining 10% is unlearning a few things that SVN does differently (in a good way) than CVS.
The hardest part of the SVN curve is just pulling out of the driveway :)
I'll try to get a SVN repository imported from the Struts CVS module today, and then you can see what I mean.
