I must say that I do not understand your stance Martin. As the tags stand now 
they don't have all of the *possible* 4.01 attributes, but are in compliance 
with the ones they have. This ticket proposes to add a feature that allows 
users "fill the gap". Yes, it could be abused, but so can every other part of 
Struts.  What's the difference if someone decides to return null from an 
action and talk HTTP themselves.  They could easily screw that up.  I don't 
see how that is any different than allowing a user to add an attribute that 
might screw up the generation of some HTML.

My take is that the tags should explicitly support as many attributes of the 
4.01 spec (or whatever we are supporting) and then have a feature that allows 
users to augment that in the fashion that fits their use.

If you are 100% against, this I propose we take a vote because I am 100% in 
favor of adding this.
