What other apache subprojects would fit under that TLP?

Jakarta Taglibs probably, and I have some doubt about Turbine.

I agree about Taglibs, I'll ask on the jakarta list. I also agree on Turbine: I think we should keep these "web components" small - like a commons projects. I'd hesitate to bring on a full webapp framework (like wicket, or turbine). Agree?

Yes, that's exactly what I had in mind.

How about Jakara Commons FileUpload?

Sure! I forgot it!

Should we consider these incubator projects:
- Abdera?
- XAP?
- Any others that I didn't notice?

XAP is interesting, but Abdera... I think it stays better on its own, or it could go to xml.apache.org

Makes sense,

Honestly, I know nothing about either of them. I just scanned the incubator pages :)

As I previously wrote:
* Java Web Parts (probably it must be incubated):

Definately. Want to ask on their list?

Err sorry, do you want me to ask on their list or are you going to ask? Sorry, I did not understand you :-(
If it is the latter, yes :-)

Ok, I'll go ahead. Didn't want to steal your thunder, so I was asking you if you wanted to. . .but that's ok, I'll take it.

* Scopes (donation by me, I am the only copyright owner and committer): http://scopes.sourceforge.net/
* Dimensions (needs incubation): http://mutidimensions.sourceforge.net/
http://javawebparts.sourceforge.net/

My only question about scopes and dimensions would be community. Incubation will help flush that out.

Scopes could be put as a sandbox project (we discussed on it about one month ago); Dimensions didn't reach a community at all, but isn't building a community a requirement to exit the incubator?

Yes, that was my point, that the incubator will resolve any community issues.

I'll start to throw together a wiki proposal.

David
