Werner Keil commented on TAMAYA-72:
-----------------------------------

No it's not. At most JodaTime "inspired" the Java 8 packages, but they are not
entirely compatible. One is part of JDK, the other one is commonly used, but
made irrelevant by the Java 8 content. There's a Java 7 backport that feels
more like java 8 date, if we continue to support 8 and 7 side-by side, that
would be a viable substitute, JodaTime would only make sense for additional
modules.
