I'd have to agree about javaforge. It is probably good for many purposes but
rather restrictive for open source projects..

What kind of sub-projects did you have in mind, and how did you plan on
addressing the potential LGPL/GPL licensing issues brought up before ?

p.s. I'm generally "for this", just know we have to address the licensing
issue first before entertaining any other thoughts.
