URL: https://github.com/apache/tinkerpop/pull/3242
Updated properties to List types in gremlin-python and gremlin-javascript,
to be consistent across GLVs. Updated the necessary class and serializers.
Properties are now consistently deserialized as list of property objects
across both GraphBinary and GraphSON for both GLVs, and empty/null/undefined
properties are deserialized as empty lists.
Note that this is a breaking change, users should update how they handle the
returned properties in these 2 GLVs.

> The {{properties}} property on {{Element}} in javascript has datatypes
> inconsistent with Java and other GLVs where it can be a {{Map}}, {{List}} or
> {{undefined}} depending on serializer or other factors (and we go through
> great lengths to assert all of this in tests for some reason). The type
> should be {{List}}. Use an empty list if {{null}} or {{undefined}}.
