But Infra, Tooling, and basically EVERY department under the President is autocratic. They are not operated using standard Apache governance that we require from the technical communities (PMCs). So the discussion happened, but the only thing that "we" see is a choice for a particular outcome. The sausage comes out of the package; we're not privy to how it was made. Simple as that. I explained other-message the *why*, but I wanted to clarify how Tooling operates. "We" don't get to make demands. Will Tooling staff and VP listen to us? Sure.
