See <http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=88687>,
addressed all three problems with a newly introduced unoinfo program
there.
Does the new mechanism still rely on a symbolic link named 'soffice'
being present in some directory which is in PATH by default (which in
turn is the reason why we install /usr/bin/soffice atm.) ?
Yes. That part of simple bootstrap did not change, the mechanism
still needs to find an office installation (via PATH, UNO_PATH,
Windows registry...).
Just a question ad the Windows-installation of OOo-3.0-M2: that version
does not (yet) incorporate the unoinfo utility, so I tried to set up the
environment by hand, but am missing something as the binary cannot be
found when excercising the bootstrap mechanism:
*com.sun.star.comp.helper.BootstrapException: no office executable
found!*
Obviously, something is wrong. The path to soffice.exe/soffice.bin is
given, as are the full paths to jurt.jar, unoil.jar, ridl.jar and
juh.jar in CLASSPATH:
PATH=e:\jdk1.6.0_02\bin;D:\WINDOWS\system32;D:\WINDOWS;D:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;e:\cygwin\bin;e:\rony\tools;E:\vslick\win;E:\Programme\GNU\GnuPG\pub;D:\Programme\Gemeinsame
Dateien\GTK\2.0\bin;D:\Programme\ooRexx;d:\Programme\Microsoft SQL
Server\90\Tools\binn\;D:\Programme\SSH Communications Security\SSH
Secure
Shell;e:\jdk1.6.0_02\jre\bin\client;e:\rony\dev\bsf\src\bin;D:\Programme\OpenOffice.org
3\program
CLASSPATH=e:\rony\dev\bsf\src;.;D:\Programme\OpenOffice.org\URE\java\jurt.jar;D:\Programme\OpenOffice.org\Basis
3.0\program\classes\unoil.jar;D:\Programme\OpenOffice.org\URE\java\ridl.jar;D:\Programme\OpenOffice.org\URE\java\juh.jar;D:\Programme\OpenOffice.org\Basis
3.0\program\classes
Is there some jar missing? Do I need to set a special Windows registry
key (the default OOo installation points to 2.4 in the key
'Software\OpenOffice.org\UNO\InstallPath')?
When will there be the next developer version containing the unoinfo.exe?
Any help/ideas appreciated!
