Hmm - you did enlarge the horizontal width of the download-box, didn't you? This wastes space and makes the explanations look "more" since more line-wrapping occurs and the right column needs more vertical space. I'd rather reduce the horizontal width of the download-box. > Well...I attempted to do some rewording in the first para to > actually tell people what's going on without going into detail on > what version they'll find if they hop to a NL site. Well - the page claims to do a "immediate" redirection to the nl-site, but it directs them to the contributing-page first. So the sequence is "download-central", pick NL -> contributing-page -> nl-donwload-site -> localized contributing-page (at least for german). Also the wording "native language implementation" sounds weired to me. But I don't have a better wording right now.. > Also, rearranged items in the right hand column -- I personally > feel peopel should actually READ the "System Requirements" and > "Installation Instructions", and moved the info about Language > packs down with the Dictionary info since, to may anyway, it > seems to belong there. By moving it to the top, you're rendering the "documentation" section worthless (almost). > So...what does anyone think? Move the Point "Documentation" to the top, list The System Requirements and installation instructions there (don't split installation-instructions and setup guide over different sections either remove the Setup-Guide (and link it from the installation-instructions page) or add it to the same place where the installation-instructions are listed). And System-Requirements usually go along with the Release-notes, so make these a single item. move "installation information" below the documentation section. And I'd change "Languages" to "Language Packs and other localisations" and move the last point to the one mentioning the language packs since you direct the user to the NL-communities in both cases and the two points now are in the same-section anyway. > My goal is to keep things > relatively simple so peopel get don't scared away with too much > information, and decide OOo is just too complicated to download. Well, now I have to scroll to see all the info (because of the bigger width of the download-box), this kind of nullifies the efforts to make it look/feel simpler :-) > On the other hand, I want to give them enough information so they > don't come here and feel lost. -- NP: Helloween - Living Ain't No Crime --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
