Well...I attempted to do some rewording in the first para to actually tell people what's going on without going into detail on what version they'll find if they hop to a NL site.

I would just remove the language selector out of the blue box. That would do a much better job already, since visually they then no longer relate to each other (then don't relate technically either). I think now the long explanation is just explaining what could be explained visually in a much easier way, as it's merely an excuse for the locating the language selector like this. You're now explaining in the text that people are actually looking to two things merged into one...

well...it IS at least a quick way to get them there. I know the wording in somewhat clunky, but, maybe we should just leave it for now

The way it's presented now is how it should be in an ideal world, where stable localized builds are in par with the English version... but since this is not the case, a clearer distinction needs to be made imho to prevent confusion among users of this download page. I would just make this download page the download page for the English OOo version, and present the page with an option to navigate to non-English versions.

Another comment I have is that I'd skip the contribute page for those who want to go to the localized download page, since that local community should ask for contribution of any sort when people actually start to download their version.

hmmmm...well I'm not going to mess with this. It was put there for a good reason and I think we should leave it for now.

Also, rearranged items in the right hand column -- I personally feel peopel should actually READ the "System Requirements" and "Installation Instructions", and moved the info about Language packs down with the Dictionary info since, to may anyway, it seems to belong there.

I very much like the new arrangement of the other material. Overall it's good progression already. I btw don't see the enlarged download box as Christian is experiencing.

Well it IS a bit wider and I CAN NOT figure out why??? There's nothing I did that should cause this. :(

Good luck!

I'm going to just put this out there in a bit. If someone else wants to take over messing with it -- have at it.
