Hi Christian,
* JRE Checkbox (note: only available when javascript is turned on, by default with jre is selected (for people without javascript it is thus impossible to download OOo without downloading JRE))

I see the checkbox and have javascript enabled, but the checkbox doesn't
toggle the links. Even with the box unchecked, the links point to the
jre version.
I admit, I was a bit lazy... can be changed though... not highest priority to me... but yes. Should be as you explained. Feel free to make this work in the download proposal as it is residing in my tryouts directory.
And I'd prefer to have the box above the download links, you read from
top to bottom, thus IMHO having the choice at the top is more logical.
Let's not confuse ignorant users too much with this JRE stuff... if they clicked their OS that's already something to be happy with. To me at least the checkbox is there only to satisfy those who want to have options. Most users are more than happy with defaults that work for them.
* The NL notes have been combined. Note that when the javascript is able to retrieve a language other than (US) English, it will give a specific link to a download page in this language.
* "Other versions:" has gotten a title attribute clarifying what it means.
Other versions is regular text. It is far from obvious that it has a
title-Attribute...
And at least for Mac, this is not true. Mac builds get QA'd...
Well, please give me a better description. I don't know it. I thought Martin said other versions was not clear enough... well... why are we discerning some versions from the other anyhow?
* Make contribution of monetary donations more prominent
I don't think it is "agressively" presented. It is still somewhat
hidden, too hidden.
What about adding the money-icon from
http://contributing.openoffice.org/donate.html ?
Have you clicked on any of the downloads (with javascript on) in my proposal? the in between page (which tells how to contribute), now features a more banner like image asking for donations.

g.,

Maarten
