Actually I stopped looking the first time when I saw the heavy embossed
graphics, but now I actually dared to click the designs. Although
embossed it doesn't look bad. On the other hand, you present it as
something that resolves the issues by Christian, that a new homepage may
get too much of a different look, when compared to the other pages, that
it may be a disappointing experience. Yes you have a header, but do you
believe it fits in with the current much more.
Regarding the basic design, you almost designed it like I had in mind :)
my idea was also to use a beach picture... 'open' and indeed with
seagulls. But before critiquing designs any further, let us first focus
on what we actually want...
