Heh, Darn it.  The annoying thing is when Maarten asked for examples when I 
first suggested the concept, I coudn't give him one, even after a lot of 
searching... and there was an example right on my back doorstep!

My justification is that we are not trying to get people to use a piece of 
software, we're trying to get them to use a service.  In that light there is 
not a lot of difference.

Either way it is an interesting debate and probably an area that could use 
some research.  

Icons vs well constructed text.  There is not a lot of the latter on the 
net. :)
