OK, I've got a 64 bit Linux box, with (several) JRE installed (including the
most recent Sun JRE). The script does not work on mine, using Opera. Tells me
there is no JRE installed, even though I know that is not correct.

Just checked in Firefox 2, and it works fine. seems the problem is in Opera,
not the script.

Also not working in Konqueror.

Works in Epiphany.

IMO, it is something which does need to be followed through on. I usually grab
the package with JRE, but that's because it's the one I put on the CD (many
of those who require a CD won't have JRE installed, so supply it as a
standard - size is not too important to them).

The above quick test do show that the script needs to be tested across
different browsers though.
