Please let me know if this is something we wish to pursue. Our min JRE version is now coded into the js on the mail DL index page (well my mockup), so we can change this relatively easily.
very good idea, Kay! Works fine under XP with Firefox 3, IE 7, but not in Safari. But it seems that Java doesn't work in Safari in general.
