The focus has shifted to a single page because we will [hopefully]
restore the 'Extend' tab to the main navigation menu (please see my
first response to this thread), which would link to the page we are
discussing. So, once this page is finalized, it will be linked from
every page within OO.o via the 'Extend' tab, as well as the 'I want to
do more with my OOo' link on the homepage.

I like this idea - a while ago I suggested that we could update the
footer so that it would be more like Mozilla's:

It would be easy to apply the same footer across various services.OOo
sites (just a matter of adding some extra HTML code to the template).
