For the record, I was not suggesting that we migrate the build to
Maven. It definitely would not help with the issue of noisy logs. It's
just where my mind (and fingers) happened to wander when you got me
thinking about noisy logs again. If anything, using Maven would make
build and tests more noisy, not less. Maven has its advantages but
brevity in logs is not one of them. :-)
