Among others. There are social sensitivities which make "main" the preferred
name these days. It isn't critical, but it would be polite to make this change
at some point.

As far as I can see on XalanJ git, branch 'master' can't be renamed. I
think, git's branch 'master' is a special default git branch which
cannot be renamed.

Maybe, what we can do is, we can create a new xalan-test repos's
branch from 'master' branch, named xalan-j_2_7_1_maint (this name will
mirror the xalan-java repo's current development branch). I think,
these changes will create lesser confusions with the current XalanJ
development activities. If xalan-test repos's branch like
xalan-j_2_7_1_maint, is created from 'master' branch, that we can make
branch xalan-j_2_7_1_maint of xalan-test repos as the currently active
xalan-test repos's branch.

Any thoughts, please?
