Double-clicking a contact would both start a new chat AND expand the window, if
collapsed; at least, that's how I envisioned it.

Personally, I think the default view for new users should be an open Main
Window with an empty linen view and disabled toolbar, aside from the Me Button.
It begs the user to select something, and begins to acclimatize them to the
one-window layout.

Personally, I think that this preference should be on by default from here on
in, along with a larger default value for "Show # recent messages in new
chats", which should also be on by default.

'Get Info' simply takes you to the contact card view for the person in
question. It's the same as clicking on them in the contacts pane. The gear menu
at the bottom is a context menu for managing contacts, containing items such as
'Block', 'View History', 'Delete', etc., as well as a 'Manage Groups' item (one
of the things I still need to mock up and show you all). Adding items to
request audio and video chats is a good idea.

They both deal with the contact you're chatting with, but outside the context
of the chat. The 'Get Info' button should also change to a 'Start/Return to
Chat' button when in contact card view.
