Please read my responses in full - I'm not being defensive, I'm elaborating on my original thoughts as I am under the impression, some points were not conveyed in the spirit I intended. George has done a FANTASTIC job and I like his proposals, however, I think before any feature is removed, it is given equal consideration :)

I'm obviously not a huge fan of the new "full screen" modes in Lion. Lion has proven itself to be a bigger evolutionary jump than the previous few iterations of OSX. Whether all the new Lion-esque features survive will be interesting to see. As for other apps, such as Adium, shifting in equally large (r)evolutionary steps is probably an opportune time.
