Hi Milan,

I re-checked the dependency list against rawhide and the current side
tag,
f46-build-side-158330. The good news is that it's a lot smaller than it
looks. A package only needs a rebuild if it links libical directly, or
links
something whose SONAME changes when rebuilt. Being further down a build
chain
isn't enough on its own.

27 packages link or build against libical directly. Running
`ebranch check-update` on the side tag shows the 24 rebuilds so far
removed
exactly six Provides, all of them libical's own .so.3 SONAMEs. None of
the
rebuilt packages changed a SONAME of its own, evolution-data-server
included.
kf6-kcalendarcore's public headers don't expose libical (its CMake
find_dependency(LibIcal) only applies to static builds), so
libKF6CalendarCore.so.6 keeps its ABI. That means the gnome-shell
extensions
and the KDE PIM chain (akonadi-*, kmail, korganizer, kontact, ...)
don't need
rebuilding.

Still to rebuild (13). None of them needs another of these in its
buildroot,
so they can all go in one round:

    asterisk claws-mail cyrus-imapd gnokii gnome-panel GoldenCheetah
kf6-kcalendarcore kmymoney noctalia orage osmo phosh redwax-tool

Already rebuilt in the side tag: almanah, bijiben, bluez,
cairo-dock-plug-ins, evolution, evolution-data-server, evolution-ews,
gnome-calendar, gnome-shell, gnome-todo, pidgin-chime, syncevolution.

kdepimlibs already fails to build on rawhide (pkgconfig(QJson)),
independently of libical. Once libical 4 lands, it and its only
dependent,
kuser, become uninstallable, so they need fixing or retiring rather
than a
rebuild. blogilo is broken for its own KF5 reasons, but doesn't involve
libical.

cyrus-timezones BuildRequires libical-devel, but its binaries don't
link
libical, so it doesn't need a rebuild either.

I'll rerun the check on the side tag before the update is filed, to
confirm nothing is left uninstallable apart from kdepimlibs/kuser.
The tooling for this is being tracked in
https://github.com/slopfest/sandogasa/issues/58.

Best,
