Developers should eat their own dogfood, AND this doesn't seem like the right process. A one-click "install latest activities" link would work just fine, and be a way to test activity updating. It shouldn't be possible to ship without browse. I find shipping a more reasonable set of priority activities to also be a good idea, as discussed in other threads.
