what cable are you using?
Enameled wire scavenged from a transformer... which isn't the best (bends too easily during soldering). I was also planning to use wirewrap wire but could not find any in the (bad) electronics shops nearby. I would have to order it.
enameled wire is actually what digmata uses underneath bga's too but wire wrap wire is certainly easier to work with. it's getting trickier to find though - i think i bought the last roll of wire wrap wire in the whole SEG electronic market in Shanghai in april :)

Anyway, maybe the simplest solution is to let Adam do it on 1-2 boards as he has all the tools and experience. Just in order to validate the video input
design in this board run, and then deploy it during the next.

qfn with same pitch is of course much worse.
It's LQFP.
aha, good news, then it's certainly doable without extreme measures.
qfn is really hard compared and even close to impossible...
