Hi Chun-Yeow, I just started to play with secured nodes and I also see poor performances. I'm not using any HT modes, without encryption I usually get (point to point, i.e. 1 hop): * 13-14 Mbps on 802.11g channels (TCP test) * 18 Mbps on 802.11a channels (TCP test)
When I bring up a secured mesh, I get (nohwcrypt=1): *4-4.5 Mbps (TCP test) *4-4.5 Mbps (TCP test) If I apply you patch and insmod ath9k without nohwcrypt=1, I get: *13-14 Mbps (TCP test) *4-4.5 Mbps (TCP test) It's really strange that your patch only improves 802.11g channels.
