I miss a solution for running MMBase standalone, and I would like a
grace period, if only in 1.8, that allows current configurations to run
without too drastic changes, as not everyone fully understands how teh
appserver datasources work.
I would prefer to condence some of the code in the GenericDataSource
class (in particular the connection to the database engine, and perhaps
a simple pool mechanism), and offer that as a (possibly default)
datasource for use by people who have not yet reconfigured their
systems, or for use by the Junit classes.
