Hi Daniel,

Its felt dat non java programmers

I have been working now with MMBase for more than 6 years and in this
time i didn't see one non-java-programmer who was able to efficiently
use MMBase. Also the present installed base of MMBase websites shows
that you need to have at least basic (Java) development skills to make
something nice with MMBase.

Promising that MMBase can be used by script kiddies is not fair at the
moment and i think it also should not be our main goal for the future.
For script kiddies there are other products which are more applicable.

The strong points of MMBase are object orientation and extendibility. So
in my opinion our main effort for the coming two years should be to be
further improve the API and implementing a component framework. In this
way we will be able to more efficiently develop and share components.

Yes i also love new tags, taglibs, and development tools, but i don't
believe these will be the things that will make MMBase more successful
in the future.

Regards, Henk.
