ok, i quess i am reacting from a feeling that all kinds of functionality is
being added to the mmbae packages only becouse it is needed for some
specific situation or without a real overall concept of what should be in
the mmbase packages. I have nothing against a bridge.util package, but a lot
of little things are being added here and there and where's the time to
document it all? I quess i would like to see less better documented and more
accessible features, but i admit this is a very general idear that was
triggered by your specific request.

I think org.mmbase.bridge.util could be compared to e.g.
