Maybe a bit off topic. But at the same time not off topic at all.

What I don't understand is: "Why is there not more public debat about any european law or topic in general?"

Already a couple of research results concluded that especially in the Netherlands most people are hardly interested in Europe. And this while the consequences of shifting decision making and thus shifting power from individual countries to the central European Governement are enormous. And especially well developed countries like The Netherlands have so many many achievements and thus such a lot to loose.

Most people were and are not interested in Europe. And most of the people who were interested would / could only see the "advantages". Like not having to wait at the border. And don't have to pay exchange rates for money exchange. Yeah right, big deal.

Expectations are that people will become interested and will complain more and more when the pain of the changes will be felt more and more. Although it will be too late to roll back the power shift from the central European gouvernement back to the individual countries.

History can tell (over and over) about too big conglomerates and ordinay people paying the bill and suffer, while the rich will benefit.

Ok,.I'll stop here, before I'am accused of being a terrorist or whatever.

I hope people like me are wrong and it is only a bad dream. But I fear it is not. And our children and childrens children are going to inquire us about "the stupid descisions we made".

Erik (who is that.....?)
