I've connected the pins in that way:

Fonera : USB Uart
GND : X1 / X5 connected
RX : X3
TX : X4
3V3 : X2

Is there any problem with the circuits? I got no idea

I think it should be:
Fonera : USB Uart
GND : X5
RX : X3
TX : X2
3V3 : X1

why there is no connection (serial console output).

I followed all instructions. The device installs properly
as /dev/ttyUSB0 und Ubuntu 9.10.
As I said - no console output. And I really need RedBoot-Access
for a little project.

Which instructions? What software do you use? minicom?
Here is how it should be configured so you see the bootlog and can access redboot:

Baud Rate: 9600
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bits: 1
Parity: none
Handshake: none
Transfer Protocol: YModem

full instructions are here: http://trac.fonosfera.org/fon-ng/wiki/serial
