Okay, Steven - here's the story about my little project: My wife got a horse which is pregnant. She moves to a stable near our house. Approximately 200meters direct line and she wanted an surveillance for the birth. For me, the best and most interesting solution was the point-to-point connection with low-cost equipment. So I bought two Fonera 2202 which were pimped to dd-wrt 24preSP2 and two 18dbi Yagi antennas. Costs some hours to get the dd-wrt image on the foneras, but in the end the solution works perfectly. I got about 12-18Mbits and the connection is really stable. I had no time so far to make improvements and calibrate the both antennas for 100%. I'm more than satisfied with the bandwith. So we got a win-win situation. I had a nice project with an interesting result and my wife got her "HorseTV". ;-))) The last remaining problem is the quality of the cam - especially in the dark at night. But I fear, when I want to have really good quality I need something like Mobotix or so - that's not low cost at all. ;-( Greetings, Christian _______________________________________________ Development mailing list [email protected] http://fonosfera.org/mailman/listinfo/development
