Try checking the Gigaset settings especially whether your STUN server setting
is correct. You should check your configuration with the data you've received
from your SIP provider.

I'm using a Gigaset S685IP behind a 2.0n with 2.3.6.0 for several months as my
main phone without running into any problems. It should work fine with the out-
of-the box configuration and there should be no need to reconfigure the fonera.

SIP uses a service called STUN to work around NAT and stuff if it is set up
properly.
