Good morning Development!! Up to yesterday I did everything that u advised me but the Fonera still is not letting to access the sipgate.co.uk & sipgate.com correctly.
My internet provider in UK is Virgin Media and I am on the cable service. I changed my Fonera wi fi with the one supplied by Virgin Media which is the NETGEAR WGR614 and everything worked perfectly. Reconnecting back the Fonera and I am back with the same problems. Will this give u some ideas how I can solve the problem with the Fonera?? bye Dani On 13 August 2010 19:32, Steven Leeman <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > On Fri, Aug 13, 2010 at 4:49 PM, Dani Dee <[email protected]> wrote: > >> >> There must be something in the Fonera 2.0n which is not compatible with >> Gigaset to cause the problems. >> >> > no... since 2.3.6 FON removed specific SIP stuff so the fonera 2.0n doesn't > reboot anymore when launching any kind of sipdevice behind it. > > My Gigaset C470IP works flawlessly behind it; and those of Steven Barth and > some of my friends as well... > > > >> Anyone has any new suggestion for me to try?? >> >> >>> > >> > Sipgate.co.uk <http://sipgate.co.uk/> which gives me a UK phone >>>> number >>>> >>> > I haven't configured this anymore... if I remember correctly it gives you a > UK phone number that practically no one was able to call (it's expensive to > call that number?) > > >> > Sipgate.com Which gives me USA phone number. >>>> >>> hmm I've used several ones in the USA... but at the moment i'm limited > with a Belgian number for Dialin and Rynga for dialout > > >> > The Gigaset service which as u know comes with a number. >>>> >>>> could be ...it's defined by default to get weather info, ... > > >> > Rynga.com (no phone number) only to make out going calls. >>>> >>>> > yes works like a charm > > >> > And my BT landline which is irrelevant to my audio problems. >>>> >>>> > i don't have a landline anymore > > >> > Rynga.com for out going calls is trouble free, and NO incomong >>>> calls at >>>> > all. >>>> >>>> > Voipbuster/rynga doesn't give "incoming" belgian numbers so can't validate > that > but outgoing works > > >> > My problem are with using the Gigaset and the Sipgates services. >>>> > >>>> > WIth Gigaset calling another Gigaset sometimes It rings on the other >>>> side >>>> > but I cannot hear anything. >>>> >>> > looks like RTP port troubles > which side is not hearing things....the other gigaset or you? > > > >> > Another time I cannot dial out as it is looking for a line to >>>> connect. >>>> > Another problem calling another Gigaset is we are connected but the >>>> audio >>>> > quality is bad. >>>> >>> > could be the case if you have misconfigured (or configured) QOS settings on > Fonera; (quality of services) > and if you are running eg Torrent .... which is running 1000 connections > and using up 100% of your internet speed (in theory QOS should solve that > but you have to configure the correct speed settings up/download...and > still) > > > > check if you have enabled upnp on your fonera? disable it .... > and if you have configured the correct RPT/SIP ports to the correct > internal ip of your Gigaset... on the fonera 2.0n ; please sync between the > 2.... > make sure you have made sure the gigaset gets a fixed ip from your fonera > > > > _______________________________________________ > Development mailing list > [email protected] > http://fonosfera.org/mailman/listinfo/development > >
