or after you 'mark them for deletion' you can use the PURGE button...only
Netscape has an option Empty to Trash.

I believe there is a setting to specify if the message over a certain size then
only download the headers.  If you want to view on your laptop offline then you
need to click on each message so it'll download each one or change the setting.
