This brings up an issue with the current 2.2.1a rpm and possibly the 2.2.2 rpm (I haven't installed Charlies version yet, so maybe he's addressed this). Both redhat rpms don't install all files in the places that e-smith needs them. For example, the smbpasswd database and the smb.conf file are installed in the /etc/samba directory. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be worth modifying the redhat samba rpm spec file to install these files where e-smith expects them. As part of this process, we could remove those utilities and applets not used by e-smith (e.g. SWAT, windbindd). > Yup looks nice. Don't know if we need to get so fancy though. No worries.
