I don't think you have... I too have been pouring over the mailing lists and do 
not find any recommendations for ext3 on a 2.2.x kernel. :(

If reliability is to remain priority 1 with e-smith... then I suggest we wait 
and work on the 2.4 with ext3 sometime in the future.

I will play around with it anyhow on Monday/Tuesday since now I won't do a raid 
install (because of what I read) and see how things turn out.
