well, since the howto says to include an install.sh and the rest of the 
files in the same directory
I took the standard  squidguard 3 contrib
extracted as per instructions,  but did not install
re tared everything except the install.sh    tar -czvf  the_rest.tar.gz *
added tar -zxf  the_rest.tar.gz to the begining of the install.sh

then did the rest of the instructions as in the how-to

it is quite possible that I didn't get a step correct or something, 
 I'll try again soon
