Please at least consider the set of apps in the email server at http://rhsd.net : i.e. postfix, cyrus, and ldap authentication. Or at least something that uses ldap and can perform final delivery to a host specified in the ldap directory. Postfix doesn't need any other front-end protection and does not have the restrictions against modification that qmail does if you find you must make changes.
