Not me. I've had the latest NIO-based stables running permanently (until the next build was available) without trouble. It's on Sun 1.4.1_03, Red Hat 9 box with NPTL disabled as per the startup-sh script (LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1). So here's a happy user.
I used to have node freezes in the past though with the pre-NIO code (and on 1.4.1_02). Don't be to quick in concluding that NIO is the root of the problems, though it may be related of course.
<vague-speculation> There seems to be excessive demand in the network these days, i.e. since the 0.5.2 publicity. My node pushes out 800 kbits/sec while only pulling in 120kbit/sec, with 23 Gb in the data store. This ratio used to be more like 2:1. A new load of transients and/or near-empty permanent nodes may have the changed the network traffic quite a bit, emphasizing some bugs that were already around and slooooooowing inserts. </vague-speculation>
Cheers,
