_ph00, you're absolutely right. If the USA, for example, declares anonymous P2P/F2F illegal, it'll definitely be able to subpoena Facebook for people who expressed an interest in it online.
This is actually a trivially simple mashup (although only recently possible). Adding the "Freenet Connect" widget (application is a little too grandiose) lets you see which of your friends have marked themselves as Freenet users. Whether they really are freenet users or even want to exchange refs isn't anything the application deals with. But it opens the door pretty nicely. (re: joel) Even if this only helps ten people exchange refs with a little bit more trust than over IRC I think it was worth the afternoon I spent coding it. cheers, allen p.s.
