If chat is darknet-only and forums are Freetalk, neither of those will be
immediately available when starting up a node for the first time, at least
until there are darknet invites. There's not really a clear single solution.
Given that search is slow,  I agree with those who suggest moving the box
below the bookmarks so that it ceases to appear to be a central feature. I
don't think a wizard for introducing users to Freenet would work very well,
but GitHub, for example, does have introductory, dismissable panes that are
much less intrusive than a wizard and could be helpful.
