I am convinced > this > works well enough (possibly even to well) at filtering out such nodes. i can't see the disadvantages for a forgotten node: the rest will forget the node, but the forgotten node can still send requests to the other nodes (as long as they haven't disconected). as long as it is forgotten it won't have to handle foreign requests and has although access to the network.
