It chokes and dies with an exception :-( (athough the description says 
that it can be left blank on transient nodes).

We could have the setup script try to detect the current IP, although 
the "dynamic hostname" (which might be the most used thing for 
ADSL/cable modem) would be preferable.

So, should I really set as default non-transient? I was no too sure, 
most Win users will be still on short term dialups, I guess. The 
announcement delay is by default 5000 (milliseconds) IIRC, so that is 
not too much.
