I think code names work best when release cycles are long. Ubuntu is
released twice a year. That means 7 code names since 2007 when I started
using it. I hardly remember these code names, but I know I started with
7.04. We release 4 major versions of XWiki Enterprise in a year (and we
want more). Soon we'll have lots of code names and they will be useless
in identifying our previous releases.

+0 for using code names
+0 for cocktail naming scheme (I think we can find something better)
-0 for random code names (e.g. random cocktail names, see Anca's comment)

Thanks,
Marius
