Actually you could use
http://l10n.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/L10NCode/BestContributorsSheet
page for this.

For example to get contributors since 8.1 (that was released on 24 May
2016) you can use
http://l10n.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/L10NCode/BestContributorsSheet?lowerBound=20160525
(there is also a upperBound URL parameter).
