I have tried with changes I have made in the past.  I have developed a cool
patch to let you set offsets for hex dump (like -x 54 to get only tcp
portion of the frame) and show you a hex and ascii representation side by
side similar to the old Xenix "hd" utility.  My recollection is that they
seemed quite elitest and were not interested in code from "outside
parties".  That may have just been my (maybe unwarranted) impression.

Perhaps I should try again.  I don't take rejection well.  :-)
