Sorry for the long post but I am having trouble with dhcrelay and was
needing some help. I am working on a linux router project box. A friend of
mine compiled the code for me for dhcrelay. We have tried many ways to get
the dhcrelay to work but to no avail. My dhcp server is a Windows NT server
running SP4 on it. It has functioned for well over a year serving up ip
addresses to several networks. Attached is a copy of a telnet session when
I execute dhcrelay from the command line with the -d switch. For the
purposes of testing I let it attach to both cards but I believe under normal
operation it should only attach to eth1 which is on the subnet without the
dhcp server. On the dhcp server it receives the request and leases an ip
202.59.255.66 which is correct but the box on the other side of the router
does not get the forwarded reply. The requests and reply that you see are
on the 202.59.255.0 subnet which don't need to be forwarded. I also have
enclosed a print of my routing table and ifconfig. As you can see I have
put 2 host routes to 255.255.255.255 for each interface. Without these
routes no ip is leased. The machines on both networks are a mix of Windows
98, Windows 95, Windows NT, Novell, Redhat, LRP. My test machine for
leasing an ip is a Windows 98 which when connected to the 202.59.255.0
subnet successfully leases ips. Any help on this matter would be greatly
appreciated. If you need any further details please ask.

Also please be informed for anyone interested I have a chat server setup and
a chat channel for LRP at chat.icon.co.th #lrp please feel free to come and
chat.
