I sometimes work from home - not because I'm too lazy to go to the office,
just the opposite. I get a lot more done if i can stay home and work without
interruption. And, yes, my employer makes it easy for me to do this by
providing me with tools like SameTime, VRVS, skype, Yahoo chat, and more so
that i can stay in touch with colleagues while i'm not in the office. I attend
virtual meetings, edit documents and have my documents edited by people who
live in other states, and more. I find this exciting. And i hope that the tools
that I use, all free resources except for SameTime, are available to people who
are *equally* deserving in poorer countries. If students learn to use these
tools and others like them while in school, more power to them! And congrats to
universities who encourage and promote this kind of forward thinking,

Re Coventry University students ...

How considerate of the university !!

Would the university be doing the same services for these same students when
they graduated and employed but too lazy to get up in the morning to go to the
office ??

Why not use the same amount of money wasted on these students to people who
might be more deserving in the poor countries??

Cindy
