Hello Germano,   "3.9" does not pertain to the real numbers set! Simply to a double dimension set: one dimension for the "version" (3) and one dimension for the sub-version (9). However the various usages for designating different versions of a software are more complex. Notice that very often the have more than one separator dot/point.
