So it seems that just by suggesting a particular frequency for calling someone has stirred up a bunch of digital modes activity.
One thing I'll suggest is that maybe we don't need to QSY after establishing a contact. Seems like you can listen on 14078.4 and if it isn't busy you can call on it, and if it is busy you can move a bit to one side or the other and make your call. Likely responders will find you just for being in the neighborhood.
