I have no idea either, but I do not mind either way (qt -> gdk -> qt). I
know it would be faster to impliment each widget toolkit natively, but
it would also make for a more consistant desktop enviroment if we
implimented a standard widget toolkit for DirectFB, and just wrote
wrappers for other toolkits to draw using native widgets. Just like gtk
has C++ wrappers (gtkmm), you could also write say a gdk and qt wrapper
for a native DirectFB toolkit. Idealy I would like to see the toolkit
being a cut down GTK, but that is just because I am a C programmer, (and
not much of one at that). There are also a LOT of improvements to be
made in GTK, such as nicer Open, and Save dialogs, Font selection
dialogs, an intergrated desktop for DirectFB (I like BeOS, any
objections to DirectFB having a BeOS like desktop (Espically the file
system nav in all the menu bars on files)). Sound good?
